V Sundaramoorthy, State Secretary of CPI (Maoists) contented that he along with four others Suresh, Kumaran, Karthick and Easwaran were arrested together by police.

While he was produced before the Special POTA court in Poonamalee, Karthick and Easwaran were produced before a court in Periyakulam, Sundaramoorthy contended.

However, the whereabouts of Suresh and Kumaran were not known as they were not produced before any court so far, he claimed.

Muthumeeran submitted that the trio were arrested in Tiruppur on July 11, remanded to judicial custody and there was no illegal detention.
